Sector mandate: Community mobilization and mindset change

Vision: An empowered and prosperous community in which women, youth, PWDs and elderly actively participate and benefit from development, undertakings and where children are safe and secure.

Mission: To empower the community to undertake and benefit from development initiatives, particularly, youth, women, PWDs and Elderly through mobilization and sensitization and training, and to ensure that there is conducive Environment for Proper Child Care and Development.

Staff:       The department is composed of 5 staff.

It has 2 Sections i.e. Community Development section, Probation and social welfare section

GOVERNMENT PROGRAMMES

The department is supporting different government programs as;

• Youth Livelihood program (YLP)
• Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Program (UWEP)
• Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs) grant
• Special Enterprise Grant for Older Persons (SEGOP)
• Special Assistant Grant for Elderly (SAGE)
